A Brilliant Pearl on the Border

On the southern foot of the Mount Alatao in Western Xinjiang, there is a lively gobi oasis, which is just like a brilliant pearl inlaid in “the Western Region of Fertile Soil” and attracting people’s vision with her unique charms. That is the 84th regiment of the Fifth Agricultural Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, a state-run agricultural farm located near the border of China and Kazakhstan.
